Requirements of the Audition Video:

• The Audition Video should contain a song as sung and recorded by the Participant in his/her voice. The Participant at its discretion may or may not use the musical instruments while recording the Audition Video.
• Duration of the Audition Video: the Participant shall ensure that the maximum duration of the Audition Video shall be 3 minutes and any Audition Video exceeding the aforesaid criteria shall be rejected.
• Size of the Audition Video: The maximum permitted size of the Audition Video can be 50 MB.
• Technical Specifications: The Audition Video file can be uploaded by the Participant in the following formats: Avi, mpeg, Mp4.
• Number of times the Audition Video can be uploaded on Voot: The Participant may upload his/her Audition Video on Voot, multiple number of times before the Closing hours of the Audition Period.
• Viacom18 at its sole discretion may either select the Audition Video as submitted on the Website or the Audition Video as submitted on the App by the same Participant as an entry for the purpose of Audition and subsequent selection.

The season 1 of the Rising Star was judged by the popular singer and music director Shankar Mahadevan, Bollywood singerMonali Thakur and actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh. The show is hosted by singer-actor Meiyang Chang and choreographer Raghav Juyal.
